Redeemer
Lutheran Church would like to invite you to our new family ministry called
“Family Time.” It is a program that includes children 18 months through
pre-kindergarten, along with a parent/caregiver. While there will be
plenty of time for the children to play, there will also be a time to interact
with each other, plus a very special time for the adults called “What’s on Your
Mind Time” where we will talk about parenting issues, problems, highs, and lows.
Because Redeemer believes that the family is an important core of church life,
our goal is to establish small groups of parents/caregivers who want to increase
and share their parenting skills. This ministry offers an opportunity to
parents/caregivers who want to commit to time with their child, to learn more
about their child, as well as themselves, and, most importantly, to secure an
everlasting relationship with their child.
Redeemer is offering this program free of charge to church members as well as
the community. However, like other small groups at Redeemer, group members
are asked to share in the costs of food or other supplies that might be needed.
In some cases small groups read and discuss a book, in which
case participants purchase their own book. In some small groups people take
turns providing snacks or meals. We can discuss these details more at our first
meeting.
If you are interested in participating in this unique
small group experience, we ask that you will commit your time, experience, and
energy to help make this program a successful ministry.
