FAITH QUEST (FQ) is our Sunday school program for first grade
through fifth grade. It uses a rotation system covering different
religious concepts or Bible stories on a monthly basis. Teachers teach
their lesson each week to a different grade level, while shepherds accompany
assigned grade or class through the rotation. The children move to a
different room every week during the themed unit. Generally, prior to
classroom time, the children meet together for welcome, prayer and song.
They proceed to their assigned classroom led by their teacher. One month
during the Sunday school year a core curriculum written for each grade level is
taught in depth. The children will also be working on several
service/mission projects during the year.
FAITH QUEST JUNIOR (FQJR) is our Sunday school program for 3, 4, and 5 year old
children. The children are divided into two groups: Sunshine and
Starlight. The program consists of age appropriate curriculum featuring
units that cover Bible stories in depth over several weeks.. The teachers are
highly trained and share their love of Jesus with each student. Students
meet their staff during FQJR “Meet and Greet”. During the
course of the Sunday school year FQJR participates in several service/mission
projects.
The children in Faith Quest and in Faith Quest Junior
participate in two church services during the year. “The
Christmas Story” was presented on
Sunday, December 14th at the 11:00 service and “Faith Quest Revue” will be
presented on Sunday, May 17th at the 11:00 service. A reception in the
Fellowship Room for the children and their guests follow each service.
All teachers, shepherds and teen shepherds have gone through Redeemer’s Child
Protection program. They are dedicated, loving people who want to share
their love of God with Redeemer’s children.
