When asked to teach His disciples to pray, Jesus said,
“Pray then in this way,” and then Jesus taught them what we
have come to call the Lord’s Prayer. We pray the
Lord’s Prayer weekly, sometimes daily, but do we think about
what these words really mean?
During Lent we will be able to study the meaning of this
prayer. Beginning
February 25, Ash Wednesday, we will begin our “Lenten
Journey.” For forty days we will read the “Book of
Faith Lenten Journey – 40 Days with the Lord’s Prayer” by
Henry F. French.
The daily readings are short – maybe five to ten minutes.
Each devotional is followed by questions, reflections and
food for thought and journaling. It is also broken
down into weekly themes for small group discussions.
We are encouraging you to be a part of this “Lenten Journey”
either in a small group or with a prayer partner, such as
your spouse, friend or child, and share the journey with
them.
May your Lenten Journey with the Lord’s Prayer be an
adventure that leads you to Easter and beyond in the grace
of God.
